Making and breaking the grid
In this project we were expected to work with a grid of some kind and design 4 magazine spreads. We were asked to study magazines we liked and draw inspiration from their grids and incorporate them into our designs in some way.
I took my inspiration from video game magazines and their use of intense, dark and saturated backgrounds as well as full bleed images or silhouettes. My concept is an article that would be found in one of these magazines, and is based around the JRPG Persona 5 Royal. This article is geared towards fans of the series or motivating those unfamiliar to learn a bit more about its characters with a count down/ top # esque format.
